Have you ever had a sick relative in prison? How did you deal with their care? Did the prison accommodate your visits outside of regulation visiting periods?

If you have ever had to deal with this issue, please let me know. I am doing a major article about this issue. Thanks so much.

Sadly the health and well being of the incarcerated is of no true concern to the world at large. My husband was vomiting blood and they called for him 36 hours later. The daily degradation does not end with the "count ups" or the strip searches or the constant searches and destruction of the meager personal belongings. The degradation and the dehumanization are best illuminated through the treatment of the infirmed. If these were animals Oprah would be up un arms about their treatment but alas, they are society's thrown away humans.
